Cannot get gel to come out of canister

I am very upset with the fact that for the second time I have bought the Satin Care shave gel, the canister wont work and I cannot get any (well very very little -not enough to shave with) gel out!!! What a waste of money.

Hate to hear you're having trouble dispensing the can of Satin Care Shave Gel. We wouldn't expect this to happen, but below are some tips that may help. • Make sure container is in an upright position and held at a slight angle. • Rinse nozzle well with warm water and try spraying again.• Press down on nozzle intermittently to try to reactivate the spray. • If this doesn’t work, something may be clogging inside the container or there could be something wrong with the propellant inside the can. If this doesn't work, please give us a call at (800) 445-5388. Thanks!

Fool me once...

This is the second time I have been left with more than half a can of this shave gel that I will have to throw out because it will not dispense the product. Thinking that this might be an unlucky fluke, I looked up the issue and learned that customers have been complaining about this issue going back to June 2011, and not a few customers!! In other words, Gillette has been well aware of this design flaw (to say nothing of the rust problem) for several years, but all they care to say in response is, "Oh, my! Did you try running the nozzle under some warm water?" Of course I did. Seriously, folks.I'm no engineer, but I have to believe that there is a relatively simple solution to the dispenser problem if there is the will to solve it. Likewise for the rust issue; more than one customer nicely suggested that a plastic or rubber bottom to the can would solve this simple problem. Pointing out that the bottom of the can is "rust resistant", not "rust proof" is not helpful. It's a shaving product, after all, so it is not surprising that the can will be subject to long-term exposure to water!You are half right, Gillette, in one of your previous responses that stated that the problem with the dispenser is not what you, or the customer, would expect of your product. True, the hapless customer does not expect to encounter any problems using your product, but, at this point, it is inexcusable for you to pretend that this problem is unexpected.

The product needs new design!

I like this product but like most of the reviews was unable to get anything out of the can and it was more than half full. Maybe time for a design change?

Good product ruined by consistently poor dispenser

The shave gel itself is great. It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth and I always get a great shave. However, I am now on my fourth or fifth can that has stopped dispensing when the can still feels 1/2 full (or more!). In response to replies I have seen by customer service representatives, I always leave my can upright, and have tried with each faulty can to rinse the dispenser with warm water and "pump" it to get the dispenser working again. Nothing works and I end up throwing away half my product. I'm quite disappointed since I like the actual gel, but until Gillette fixes the dispenser, I'm done wasting my money on this product.

Smooth and pampering!

It let me have a smooth shave and it pampered my sensitive skin while protecting it from a harsh shave; after, it did not over dry my skin and actually kept it hydrated.My skin after my shave was extra plump and soft. It really was touch-ably smooth. :)It stopped the parts which weren't with a rash from getting a rash. and lessened the itch at the places where there was a rash.nice.

Clogs up and Rust stains!

I see that I am not alone....shaving cream can will no longer dispense when can is still half full! No amount of rinsing with warm water etc will unclog, there is a design issue or defect with the pumping mechanism! A waste.Second, rust stains are terrible. Please consider putting a plastic or rubber ring around the bottom.Very unlikely to buy your product again.

Oh my goodness, I’m sorry to hear that your shave cream stopped dispensing and you’ve noticed rust stains from our shaving cream can. Normally rinsing the can with warm water helps with the clog – I’m sorry this wasn’t the case for you. As far as the rust stains go; I want to let you know that our cans have rust-resistant coating and should be stored in a dry area. Stops dispensing gel fast and leaves rust stains!

I had to throw out 3 out of 4 cans as they stopped dispensing while almost full. I was able to use one can for 3/4 until it stopped dispensing just like the other 3. In addition, this can left rusty stains in my shower!!! Very disappointed with the quality!

Clogged

I love this product, EXCEPT for the fact that the containers keep clogging! I have had to throw out so many of these when they're almost full because of the clogging :(

Probelms with dispensing

Only was able to use 3-4 times, noticed the first time it started to rust so I will dry it and leave it out of the shower. But noticed that there is a problem with dispensing anything out of it.. the nozzle doesn't work. I assume its rusted inside. A major flaw as I've noticed on other reviews. Waste a new can - could have lasted me for a couple of months more.

This is not the quality we or you expect from our product and I will share this with our Quality Team immediately. It may help to know that while our cans do have a rust resistant coating, they are not rust proof and my rust if left in a wet environment. Also, sometimes rinsing the nozzle with warm water and pressing the button a few times can clear any clog that may have developed in the nozzle.
